For few nights

Stay aloof......

From all those fights

It's difficult to understand

You don't get space

Running the same race

You may give your time

May give it all

Still it's not enough

The bitterest experience that can befall

You feel you have lost your soul

A part of it......

Not whole

Sometimes need to maintain

Distance from yourself

To see the bitterness

That need to be dealt

How often do we question

Our desires and decisions

We defend all our doings

And refuse to listen

Sometimes it's a result

Of our past experiences

Negative influences

That shape us

To what we are

Shrink us emotionally

And leave a scar

It's a curse

Not to trust at all

Feel desolate......

Inspite of standing tall

To keep self introspection

To perceive less

So go with the flow

Life isn't perfect

You need to know

Let you be a stranger

To yourself

To get answers......

Let that stranger lead you

To light away from darkness

And when you'll look in the mirror

You'll recognize yourself

Slightly better......

Slightly wiser......

And at peace with oneself....!!!
